What is our design process?

1. I receive the initial inquiry via phone or email.

2. We have an obligation free discussion about how we can

work together to meet your needs and wishes with your

new house/extension/renovation. I can provide an

initial fee estimate at this time if necessary.

3. In person meeting to measure site (if existing) or review

any pre-prepared designs or ideas. I then provide a formal

quote after this discussion. 

4. Once the client approves the quote, I then commence drawing the initial plans. This involves preparation of a concept floor plan sketch and elevations, with a basic site plan prepared.

5. I refer the concept plans back to the client for review and amendments, once we agree to any changes I proceed to full working drawings used for submission for planning approval.

Note: If planning approval is required, I draft and submit the site plan, floor plan, and elevation plans for approval only. 

6. Once planning approval is granted, or if it is not required, I submit for building approval which includes additional drafted electrical plan, section plan, details and kitchen/bathroom layouts.

I provide the following to you and to council as part of building approval:

  • Site plan

  • Floor plan

  • Elevations

  • Electrical plan

  • Section plan

  • Details

  • Kitchen and Bathroom Layouts

How is it quoted?

I typically quote based on the meterage of the proposed home and whether it is single or two storey. My pricing is affordable and consistent. Payments are required prior to preparation of the sketch plan, planning approval, and at building approval stage.
